Eugenio Cuttica
Eugenio Cuttica was born in Buenos Aires Argentina in 1957. Cuttica studied fine art at Bellas Artes and also apprenticed with renowned Argentine artists Antonio Berni and Martines Howard. In Buenos Aires Cuttica quickly gained a reputation as a bastion of the neo figurative movement earning praise for monumental canvases with fearless expressionism and color. Fleeing political instability in Argentina Cuttica settled in New York with his family and further pursued his career with mounting success. His current work focuses on spiritual and poetic symbolism on large canvases and sculpture. Cuttica has had numerous museum exhibitions and is housed in countless public and private collections. Currently he is the owner of a 40 acre artists compound in Southampton New York called Campo Cuttica that houses and supports up to 8 artists at a time. Today he alternates between studios in Buenos Aires, Southampton NY and Portofino Italy.
